Webley Revolvers was first manufactured in the 1850s, and has evolved since the original Webley MKVI Service Revolver, over 300,000 of which were produced between 1914 and 1939. This revolver revolutionised handgun design and was immediately adopted as the preferred sidearm for British and Commonwealth troops during the First and Second World Wars, due to its superior stopping power and fast reloading.
Following this success, the Webley was adopted by law enforcement agencies across Britain and many other countries, from the frozen north by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to the heat of Southern Africa. When a firearm was needed in civilian life the obvious choice was the revolver that had proved itself in war and police service. Due to the design, styling and usability, the Webley Revolver became recognised as the “Gentleman’s” sidearm of choice and is featured in many films and in more recent times, popular gaming platforms including Call of Duty.
The Webley Revolver in Airguns is designed to the same specifications of the original .455 Webley, and also includes the original markings as well as realistic shells.
